On October 5, the educational event "SCAFFOLD - competencies for life", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, was held in Osh on the basis of the IPK of Osh State University. International expert Kay Payescope and national SCAFFOLD trainers presented SCAFFOLD cards designed to develop competence-oriented actions and gave instructions on how to use them in the learning process. Chairman of the Association and national trainer O.T.Stanbayev explained entrepreneurial competencies using examples of their application in the educational process.
The idea of the Scaffold set is to provide educators with a set of flashcards designed to be used for educational purposes. The cards contain recommendations on competencies, principles of learning development, assessment methods and organization of the educational process. Scaffold is a compact and user-friendly tool that helps teachers to approach the problem of integrating competencies in a unique way. This tool is designed to stimulate the creative abilities of teachers and increase their level of care in planning, organizing and evaluating learning outcomes. The Scaffold package solves the problems identified by the Council of Europe recommendation and offers various approaches to learning, including methodological recommendations for students on the development of key competencies, an assessment system with expected results and indicators of their achievement.
