In order to further develop and improve bachelor’s degree educational programs in Nursing and Midwifery in the Kyrgyz Republic, an agreement has been reached to implement joint activities.
The work in this area will be carried out with the participation of Shin Sehun, Coordinator of the “Zharkyn Kyrgyzstan” Project; the Rector of Osh State University; the President of the Association of Medical Colleges of Kyrgyzstan (KMKA); directors of the Faculty of Medicine and medical colleges of Osh State University; as well as specialists in higher nursing education (HNE).
Within the framework of the joint work, proposals will be developed to improve the content of bachelor’s degree educational programs, adapt curricula and educational programs to modern requirements, ensure continuity between medical colleges and higher education institutions, improve the quality and scope of clinical practice, develop human resources, and introduce international experience into the educational process.
In addition, regular working meetings, consultations, seminars, and practical activities are planned with the participation of Osh State University, KMKA, medical colleges, and specialists in the field of higher nursing education (HNE).
The main objective of these activities is to improve the quality of nursing and midwifery education in the Kyrgyz Republic, enhance the system for training specialists at the bachelor’s degree level who meet modern requirements and possess a high level of professional competencies, and establish an educational model that complies with international requirements.
As a result of these activities, proposals are expected to be developed aimed at updating the content of nursing and midwifery education, strengthening the integration of the educational process with clinical practice, and improving the quality of healthcare workforce training to a new level.
