On October 11, 2023, a technical consultation was held to assess the standards of midwifery education with the participation of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, professional associations, practical healthcare and medical colleges.
The goal is to improve the professional qualities and quality of training of obstetricians within the framework of the implementation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Program for the protection of public health and development of the healthcare system for 2019-2030 “A healthy person is a prosperous country.” Current issues related to midwifery education standards were discussed; clear goals and objectives have been established to improve quality in accordance with European standards.
At the meeting, the chairman of the association Stanbaev O.T. made a report on the topic “Training of midwives at the pre-graduate level.”
