Today, November 13, 2024, a conference organized by the international humanitarian organization 'Doctors Without Borders' was held in Bishkek. The conference focused on presenting the results of a study on the prevalence of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types among women aged 30-49 in Chui Oblast. The event was attended by the chairman of the Kyrgyz Medical Association and directors of medical colleges, including the Bishkek Medical College, Karabalata Medical College, Naryn Medical College, Tokmok Medical College, and Osh State University."
"It is worth noting that, previously, with the support of the international humanitarian organization "Doctors Without Borders - Switzerland," lecturers in obstetrics and gynecology from medical colleges underwent theoretical and practical training on the screening program "Preserving Women's Health through Early Detection of Breast and Cervical Cancer." Recognizing that, at the suggestion of employers and the project, this area has been included in the core educational program of the specialty.
A "Letter of Gratitude" from the Association of Medical Colleges of Kyrgyzstan was presented to Andrea Issenegger, coordinator of "Doctors Without Borders - Switzerland," as a token of appreciation for the fruitful cooperation."
